Rebecca Gyamfuwa Oppong, a seasoned and dedicated certified nurse midwife, has been recognized as the 2nd Runner-Up for Best Midwife in Greater Accra at a prestigious awards ceremony organized by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA). The event took place at the GRNMA Guest House in Zoti and celebrated outstanding contributions in nursing and midwifery across the region.
With over 15 years of experience in the field, Rebecca has consistently demonstrated exceptional clinical skills, deep compassion, and unwavering commitment to providing high-quality maternal care. Her recognition as the second-best midwife for the month of November 2024 underscores her tireless efforts in supporting women and families during one of the most critical stages of life—childbirth.
The awards ceremony was graced by key figures including Chairman Jefferson Asare Danquah and Secretary Solomon Ajao, who both commended the awardees for their selfless dedication and exemplary service to healthcare delivery in Ghana.
In addition to this recent accolade, Rebecca was also named the Best Midwife in the Ga West District earlier in May 2024, during a ceremony held at the Ga West Municipal Hospital—where she currently serves as an In-charge at the labor ward.
Rebecca Gyamfuwa Oppong’s achievements are a testament to her lifelong passion for midwifery and her impact on the healthcare system. Her recognition not only celebrates her personal milestones but also serves as an inspiration to fellow healthcare professionals striving to make a difference in maternal and child health.
