At Ga West Municipal Hospital is dedicated to promoting public health through the control and prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. The unit conducts health education, screenings, vaccinations, and community outreach programs to enhance disease prevention and overall well-being.
FUNCTIONS
- Conducts disease surveillance.
- Ensures quality vaccination at outreach and static points through monthly supportive supervision.
- Engages community volunteers in active surveillance on notifiable diseases such as AFP, Measles, Yellow Fever, etc
