Absa Bank August Borns Donate to Ga West Municipal Hospital NICU

The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of the Ga West Municipal Hospital has received a timely donation from staff of Absa Bank Ghana Ltd, led by Mrs. Annabel Adwoa Nketsiah, Head of Customer Value Proposition at the bank.

The initiative was spearheaded by the August Borns of Absa, a group of staff members who celebrate their birthdays in August and chose to mark the occasion with a meaningful act of service. As part of their outreach, the group donated chairs and other essential items to support the NICU, which provides critical care for premature and ill newborns.

Officials of the Ga West Municipal Hospital expressed their profound gratitude to the team from Absa Bank for the thoughtful gesture. They explained that such support goes a long way in easing pressure on the hospital’s limited resources while improving the overall experience of families who rely on the NICU.

The August Borns of Absa also encouraged other corporate and social groups to consider similar acts of kindness, highlighting that small contributions, when combined, can make a significant difference in healthcare delivery.

This donation adds to Absa Bank Ghana’s longstanding tradition of corporate social responsibility and community support, reinforcing its commitment to making an impact beyond banking
